We arrived safely around mid afternoon. Then we checked in, setup camp, ate dinner and closed the night with a skit filled opening fire program put on by the staff. |

The heat and humidity is challenging everyone but all are doing ok. We are looking forward to a little cooler weather in a few days. If your looking for fun ideas to send to your scout and he does not already have one here, the water bottle with mister and fan are very popular! Also just a battery fan is a great ideal. The Icool series work well. Also effective are the cooling neck wraps. We have a large number of adult leaders on this trip which is so helpful and currently 9 of us are going through training to better support the troop (ok, I won’t lie, it also happens to be mostly air-conditioned). |
