Today we left at 7 AM, stopped at a rest stop near Demotte, had lunch at McDonald’s and arrived at camp at 1:30 PM Eastern. We had our orientation, setup camp and ate dinner. Tonight at 8:20 there will be an evening program. | ||

Today the scouts are all working on their merit badges. We have scouts working on archery, cooking, environmental science, camping, swimming, citizenship in the nation/world, robotics, and weather. After lunch and a few more merit badges the scouts should have free time for swimming and general exploring. | ||
Tuesday, July 30, 2013 | ||
Today our scouts continued to work hard on their merit badges. The weather for the day was mostly sunny and warm until the late afternoon when we had light to moderate rain and because of this rain our group picture will now be on Thursday. The campsite was also inspected by the staff at the camp – the troop scored around 60 out of 64 with some extra credit earned by the scouts trying to impress the staff. Today the kids continued working on their merit badges. The rain from yesterday is now gone. Around camp there were many games of cards and relaxing in hammocks. | ||
