{"id":3761,"date":"2017-02-27T22:31:50","date_gmt":"2017-02-28T04:31:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.napervilletroop75.org\/?page_id=3761"},"modified":"2017-08-06T10:30:51","modified_gmt":"2017-08-06T16:30:51","slug":"2017-boundary-waters","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.napervilletroop75.org\/?page_id=3761","title":{"rendered":"2017 Boundary Waters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[CSSBUTTON target=&#8221;https:\/\/www.napervilletroop75.org\/?page_id=7576&#8243; color=&#8221;0033CC&#8221; textcolor=&#8221;ffffff&#8221; float=&#8221;left&#8221; newwindow=&#8221;false&#8221;]Trip Photos[\/CSSBUTTON]<br \/>\nTroop 75&#8217;s High Adventure trip for 2017 will be to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) in Ely, Minnesota.\u00a0 We are using the same outfitter that the troop used last time in 2006 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boundarywatersoutfitters.com\">Boundary Waters Outfitters<\/a>.\u00a0 We have secured two BWCA Permits for the dates listed below.\u00a0 That means that we can take two crews or 18 people.<BR><br \/>\n<strong>** NOTE **<\/strong><br \/>\n<i>Please let me know if you are interested and a $50 deposit will reserve your place.\u00a0 If you are interested or if you have any questions feel free to email me at &#8220;all_scoutmasters@napervilletroop75.org&#8221;.<\/i><BR><br \/>\n<strong>Trip Details:<\/strong><BR><br \/>\n<u>Trip dates:<\/u> July 29 &#8211; Aug 5 (One week after returning from summer camp)<br \/>\nApproximate cost per person $550 + money for two lunches and dinners on travel days $50 Deposit required to reserve position.<BR><br \/>\n<strong>Requirements:<\/strong><BR><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scouts need to be 13 by August 1.\n<li>Scouts must have earned the First Class rank\n<li>Scouts must have earned the canoeing merit badge.\u00a0 Can be earned at Summer Camp. \u00a0\n<li>Everyone going must have passed the BSA swimmers test\n<li>Everyone must\u00a0have completed High Adventure medical form parts A-D\n<\/ul>\n<p><i>It is strongly recommended that all crew members participate in two training outings where we will practice\u00a0paddling\u00a0and portaging with canoes.\u00a0 One at a local lake like Blackwell F.P. the other is the May Canoe trip on the Wisconsin River.<\/i><BR><br \/>\n<strong>Trip Itinerary:<\/strong><BR><br \/>\nLeave early Saturday morning 7\/29\/2017.\u00a0 Drive 9 hours to Ely MN.\u00a0 Eat Lunch on the road.
